The Modern Warfare 4 Open Beta is live now, with the full Level 30 progression track and all eight main Beta rewards available to unlock. The final level reward is the Beta Forged Han 86 Weapon Blueprint at Level 30, while the separate Litmus Camo challenge requires 1,500 Operator Kills.

Several additional rewards are also available outside the normal level track. The Clockwork Charm requires an S Rank on the Expert Mobility Course, while generating your MW4 Beta Combat Record can unlock an additional PPSH-41 Weapon Blueprint, Emblem, and Charm.

All MW4 Beta Rewards & Unlock Levels

The main MW4 Beta progression track contains eight rewards from Level 4 to Level 30. You earn them by gaining Player XP during Multiplayer matches rather than completing separate challenges.
Level MW4 Beta Reward Available
Level 4 Through the Paces Legendary Emblem Weekend 1 & 2
Level 8 First Served Weapon Charm Weekend 1 & 2
Level 12 Meonjeo Legendary Weapon Sticker Weekend 1 & 2
Level 16 Last Charge Legendary Calling Card Weekend 1 & 2
Level 20 Dread Tiger Reece Operator Skin Weekend 1 & 2
Level 23 Field Tested Epic Spray Weekend 2
Level 26 Beta Rights Epic Loading Screen Weekend 2
Level 30 Beta Forged Han 86 Weapon Blueprint Weekend 2
The Dread Tiger Operator Skin at Level 20 was the final progression reward available during Early Access. The complete Level 30 reward track is now available during the Open Beta, ending with the Beta Forged Han 86 Weapon Blueprint at Level 30.

Players joining for the first time during the Open Beta can start at Level 1 and earn all eight rewards. Weekend 1 players keep their existing progression and can continue directly from wherever they stopped.

These eight progression rewards can only be earned during the Modern Warfare 4 Beta. Once unlocked, they remain tied to your Activision account and will be available in the full game at launch.

MW4 Beta Weekend 1 & Weekend 2 Level Caps

The Modern Warfare 4 Beta uses a different maximum Player Level for each weekend:

  • Weekend 1 Level Cap: Level 20
  • Weekend 2 Level Cap: Level 30

Weekend 1 Early Access ran from August 21 through August 25 and is now over. During the first weekend, players could progress as far as Level 20 and unlock the first five level rewards.

The free Open Beta is live now and runs until September 1 at 10 AM PT / 7 PM CEST. The maximum Player Level is now Level 30, making the Level 23, Level 26, and Level 30 rewards available.

Your Weekend 1 progression carries over. Players who reached Level 20 during Early Access can continue directly toward the final three rewards.

Players who skipped Weekend 1 can still earn the complete reward track. The Open Beta is free for everyone and allows progression from Level 1 all the way to Level 30.

How to Unlock MW4 Beta Rewards

The eight main progression rewards are unlocked by earning XP in Multiplayer and increasing your Beta Player Level.

The basic process is:

  • Download and enter the Modern Warfare 4 Open Beta.
  • Play Multiplayer matches and earn Player XP.
  • Complete Daily Challenges for additional XP.
  • Increase your Player Level.
  • Reach each reward milestone.
  • Unlock the corresponding Beta reward.

Other rewards use separate challenges. For example, the Litmus Camo requires 1,500 Operator Kills and is not unlocked simply by reaching the level cap.

The Clockwork Charm, Combat Record rewards, Twitch Drops, and other promotional rewards also have their own unlock requirements.

Your eligible Beta rewards remain tied to your Activision account and become available in Modern Warfare 4 when the full game launches.

If you want help reaching a specific milestone, our MW4 Beta Leveling service lets you choose the Player Level you want to reach before the limited Beta ends.

What Level Do You Need for All MW4 Beta Level Rewards?

You need to reach Level 30 during the Open Beta to unlock all eight main MW4 Beta progression rewards.

The important milestones are:

  • Level 20: Unlocks Dread Tiger.
  • Level 23: Unlocks Field Tested.
  • Level 26: Unlocks Beta Rights.
  • Level 30: Unlocks Beta Forged and completes the full Beta level reward track.

If your main goal is the exclusive Operator Skin, Level 20 is enough. If you want every main progression reward, your final target is Level 30.

However, reaching Level 30 does not automatically unlock every additional Beta reward. Litmus, Clockwork, Combat Record rewards, Discord rewards, and Twitch Drops all use separate requirements.

MW4 Beta Level 20 Dread Tiger Operator Skin

The Dread Tiger Operator Skin for Reece unlocks at Level 20.

It was the final level reward available during Weekend 1, but it remains available to everyone during the free Open Beta. You do not need to have participated in Early Access to unlock it.

Your progression does not reset between weekends. If you finished Weekend 1 at Level 20, you can continue directly toward Level 30 during the Open Beta.

MW4 Beta Level 30 Beta Forged Han 86 Blueprint

The final main MW4 Beta reward is the Beta Forged Han 86 Weapon Blueprint, unlocked at Level 30.

Activision's Weekend 2 reward information confirms Beta Forged as a Blueprint for the Han 86 Assault Rifle.

Level 30 is only available during Weekend 2 because the first weekend was capped at Level 20. This makes Beta Forged the main target for players who want to complete the entire level-based Beta reward track.

For more information about the Han 86 and the other confirmed Beta weapons, see our All MW4 Beta Weapons & How to Unlock Them guide.

Additional MW4 Beta Rewards

The eight Player Level rewards are not the only cosmetics available during the MW4 Beta.

There are additional rewards tied to challenges and other Beta activities:

  • Default Items: 3 Emblems, 3 Calling Cards, 1 Spray, and 3 Loading Screens available immediately.
  • Mobility Course Challenge: Clockwork Charm for earning S Rank on the Expert Mobility Course.
  • Litmus Camo Challenge: Get 1,500 Operator Kills during the MW4 Beta.
  • Combat Record Rewards: PPSH-41 Weapon Blueprint, Emblem, and Charm.
  • Discord Account Linking: Unique MW4 Calling Card available at launch.
  • Twitch Drops: Three additional MW4 Beta cosmetics.

Some of these rewards were originally shown as classified before the Beta went live. Their requirements and reward paths have since appeared through the live Beta and associated Activision promotions.

How to Unlock Litmus Camo in the MW4 Beta

The Litmus Camo is one of the hidden rewards available during the Modern Warfare 4 Beta. Unlike the normal level rewards, Litmus has its own kill-based challenge.

To unlock Litmus, you need to:

Get 1,500 Operator Kills during the MW4 Beta.

Operator Kills means kills against enemy players. The challenge is based on your total kills rather than Player XP, weapon level, or your current Beta Player Level.

There is also an important distinction between kills and eliminations. Eliminations can include assisted eliminations, so your elimination total may be higher than the number of qualifying kills counted toward Litmus.

You can use your MW4 Beta Combat Record to check your total kills and get a better idea of your progress toward 1,500.

You do not need to use one specific weapon for all 1,500 kills. You can switch weapons and loadouts while continuing to make progress toward the challenge.

Litmus is separate from the Level 4 to Level 30 reward track. This means reaching Level 20 or even Level 30 will not unlock Litmus unless you also complete the 1,500 Operator Kill requirement.

Weekend 1 progress carries into Weekend 2, so players who already made progress do not start again from zero during the Open Beta.

Because Litmus is a limited Beta reward, the challenge needs to be completed before the MW4 Beta ends on September 1.

How to Get the Clockwork Charm in the MW4 Beta

The Clockwork Charm is earned through the Mobility Course Challenge during the Modern Warfare 4 Beta.

The requirement is to earn an S Rank on the Expert Mobility Course.

The Mobility Course is a training area built around MW4's expanded movement and combat systems. It includes Beginner, Intermediate, and Expert courses where your movement, weapon handling, accuracy, and completion performance are tested.

You can replay the Expert course as many times as needed. Once you achieve the required S rating, the Clockwork Charm is unlocked.

Clockwork is separate from Player Level progression, so reaching Level 20 or Level 30 is not required to earn it.

How to Get the MW4 Beta Combat Record Rewards

The MW4 Beta Combat Record rewards are obtainable during the Beta.

The reward set includes a PPSH-41 Weapon Blueprint, Emblem, and Charm tied to your personalized Modern Warfare 4 Beta Combat Record.

The easiest way to access your Combat Record is through Activision's official Beta Stats page:

  • Visit callofduty.com/mw4betastats.
  • Log in using the Activision account connected to your MW4 Beta profile.
  • Generate your personalized MW4 Beta Combat Record.
  • Check the associated Combat Record reward promotion.

Your Beta Combat Record includes useful statistics such as your K/D Ratio, W/L Ratio, total kills, matches played, wins, time played, most-used weapon, and most-used loadout.

The PPSH-41 Blueprint is currently identified as the Ira Prima Blueprint.

You can also request your Beta Combat Record through X by posting your Activision ID alongside @CallofDuty and MW4 Beta Stats.

These Combat Record rewards are separate from Player Level progression, so you do not need to reach Level 30 to access them.

MW4 Beta Discord Calling Card

There is also an additional reward for linking your Activision and Discord accounts during the Modern Warfare 4 Beta.

Players who complete Discord Account Linking are eligible to receive a unique MW4 Calling Card when Modern Warfare 4 launches.

To link your accounts, open your Activision profile and use the account linking section to connect Discord.

This reward is separate from Player Level progression and does not require Multiplayer kills or a specific Beta rank.

Best of MW4 Beta Rewards

Call of Duty has also launched a separate Best of MW4 Beta promotion where players can submit gameplay clips from the Beta.

The official submission page is available at bestofmw4beta.callofduty.com.

Players are reporting that the promotion can also provide rewards connected to the earlier Call of Duty: NEXT campaign.

The public Best of MW4 Beta page does not provide a complete reward breakdown, so these should be treated as bonus promotional rewards rather than part of the confirmed eight-item Beta progression track.

Black Ops 7 Battle Pass Rewards From the MW4 Beta

Players who participated in Weekend One could also earn rewards connected to the Black Ops 7 Season 05 Battle Pass.

While playing MW4 Early Access, players earned progress toward the BO7 Season 05 Battle Pass. Activision also provided an additional bonus:

  • If you did not own the BO7 Season 05 Battle Pass: You received the Season 05 Battle Pass for free.
  • If you already owned the BO7 Season 05 Battle Pass: You received 10 Tier Skips instead.

This promotion was specifically tied to MW4 Beta Weekend One, which ended on August 25. The same Battle Pass or 10 Tier Skip offer has not been announced for players joining only during Weekend 2.

The promotion is separate from the eight main MW4 level rewards and the Litmus Camo challenge.

MW4 Beta Twitch Drops

You can earn more MW4 cosmetics without increasing your Beta Player Level. There are separate rewards from Call of Duty: NEXT and participating MW4 Beta streams.

You need to link your Activision account to your Twitch account before earning eligible Twitch Drops.

Call of Duty: NEXT Twitch Drops

The original Call of Duty: NEXT Twitch Drop campaign has ended. Players who watched the August 21 broadcast for the required amount of time could earn the following rewards:
Watch Time Reward
15 Minutes Gas Ready Emblem
30 Minutes Rapple Repel Calling Card
45 Minutes Ghost Helmet Charm
If you earned these Drops during Call of Duty: NEXT, they remain tied to your account for Modern Warfare 4.

Players who missed the original campaign can also check the Best of MW4 Beta clip submission promotion for any additional reward opportunities.

MW4 Beta Stream Twitch Drops

The separate MW4 Beta Twitch Drops are still available by watching participating creators during the Open Beta.
Watch Time Reward
15 Minutes Get Tactical Emblem
30 Minutes Clearing House Calling Card
45 Minutes Action Ready Charm
These Twitch Drop cosmetics are tied to your Activision account and become available in-game when Modern Warfare 4 launches on October 23.

Do MW4 Beta Rewards Carry Over to the Full Game?

Yes. Eligible MW4 Beta rewards carry over to Modern Warfare 4.

Rewards you unlock remain tied to your Activision account and will be available when the full game launches on October 23.

This includes eligible cosmetic Beta rewards unlocked through the game and Twitch Drops.

However, this does not mean all Beta progression carries forward. The following normal Beta progression resets when the Beta ends:

  • Player Level / Rank
  • Weapon unlocks and progression
  • Other normal in-Beta progression
  • Beta statistics

The distinction is simple: your earned Beta rewards carry over, but your normal Beta progression does not.

Are MW4 Beta Rewards Exclusive?

Yes. The main MW4 Beta rewards are limited to the Beta period.

The Beta progression rewards cannot be earned after the Modern Warfare 4 Beta concludes. If you miss a required level before the Open Beta ends on September 1, you will not be able to continue earning it through the Beta afterward.

This also makes Litmus important for collectors. Its 1,500 Operator Kill challenge must be completed while the Beta is available.

Players who do unlock the rewards keep them for the full game when Modern Warfare 4 launches on October 23.

Does MW4 Beta Progress Carry Between Weekend 1 and Weekend 2?

Yes. Your Beta progression carries from Early Access into the Open Beta.

If you reached Level 20 during Weekend 1, you did not restart at Level 1 when the Open Beta went live. You can continue progressing toward the new Level 30 cap and unlock the final three level rewards.

Progress toward longer Beta challenges also continues. This includes the 1,500 Operator Kills needed for Litmus, so Weekend 1 players keep the kills they already earned.

Progression can also continue across supported platforms when you use the same Activision account.

Can You Unlock MW4 Beta Rewards During the Free Open Beta?

Yes. The free Open Beta is live now, and the complete Level 30 progression track is available.

The two Beta periods are:

  • Early Access: August 21 at 11 AM PT / 8 PM CEST to August 25 at 10 AM PT / 7 PM CEST, ended, maximum Level 20
  • Open Beta: August 28 at 10 AM PT / 7 PM CEST to September 1 at 10 AM PT / 7 PM CEST, live now, maximum Level 30

No preorder is required for Weekend 2. You can join the free Open Beta and work toward all eight Player Level rewards, including the Dread Tiger Reece Operator Skin and the Level 30 Beta Forged Han 86 Blueprint.

You can also work toward Litmus during the Open Beta, so players who did not finish all 1,500 Operator Kills during Weekend 1 can continue their progress through September 1.

New players can start Litmus during Weekend 2 as well. You do not need to have played Early Access to qualify for the challenge.
