Blood Hunt in Marvel Rivals can feel overwhelming at first. There are multiple systems, bosses, hidden objectives, and rewards to understand. Many players also struggle to reach higher Nightmare levels or unlock the final boss.

This guide breaks everything down in a simple way. You’ll learn how the mode works, how to progress faster, and how to unlock all rewards efficiently.

What Is Blood Hunt in Marvel Rivals?

Blood Hunt is a limited-time PvE mode in Marvel Rivals. You team up with three other players and fight through waves of vampires across the city.

The goal is simple:
  • Survive enemy waves
  • Defeat bosses
  • Progress through phases
  • Earn rewards

It’s similar to the older Marvel Rivals Zombies mode but with more depth, scaling difficulty, and progression systems.

Blood Hunt Event Dates

  • Start Date: April 23
  • End Date: July 30

There’s always a chance the event gets extended, but you should assume this is the final deadline and farm rewards early.

All Playable Characters in Blood Hunt

You can choose from six heroes, each with unique abilities and upgrades. To check which heroes are the best for Blood Hunt check our Blood Hunt Tier List.

  • Blade
  • Moon Knight
  • Jeff the Land Shark
  • Squirrel Girl
  • The Punisher
  • Thor

Duplicate heroes are allowed, so you can always play your preferred character.

One important thing to know is that progression is character-specific. If you level Moon Knight, that progress does not carry over to Squirrel Girl or Blade. If you need help with leveling up your heroes, we can do it with our Blood Hunt leveling service.

Because of this, it’s best to focus on one hero first instead of spreading your upgrades across everyone.

How Progression Works (Gear, Traits, Arcana)

Gear System

Gear improves your hero’s power and drops as you play. Better runs = better gear.

Each hero has four gear slots:
  • Weapon: Increases damage output
  • Armor: Increases health and damage resistance
  • Accessory: Adds bonus effects like Critical Rate or Block Rate
  • Exclusive: Character-specific gear that improves abilities

Don’t always equip the highest-level item. A lower-level item with better effects for your build can be stronger than a higher-level item with bad bonuses.

Higher rarity gear also gives more bonus effects:
  • White gear has no bonus effects
  • Green gear has 1 bonus effect
  • Blue gear has 2 bonus effects
  • Purple gear has 3 bonus effects
  • Legendary gear can also drop at higher levels

Traits (Skill Tree)

Traits act like a skill tree where you upgrade stats and unlock abilities. Each hero has a different layout.

Try not to spread your points everywhere at the start. Pick a build direction and focus on upgrades that improve your main damage source or survival.

Arcana

Arcana provides general buffs and passive upgrades across your character. Some Arcana upgrades are permanent, while others are cards you choose during a run.

At the start of a match and between rounds, remember to open your Arcana cards and choose one that fits your build.

Forge and Scrap System

As you play Blood Hunt, you’ll collect a lot of gear. You can scrap unwanted gear into Uru Shards, then use those shards to craft new gear for specific heroes and slots.

This is useful when your build is missing one key item, like a better Accessory or Exclusive piece.

  • Scrap bad gear for Uru Shards
  • Use Forge to craft gear for a selected hero
  • Choose the gear slot you need
  • Crafting is random, so you may need several tries

All Blood Hunt Bosses

You’ll face several bosses while progressing through the mode.

  • Capwolf
  • Ratatoskr
  • Dracula
  • Kingpin (Hidden Boss)

Dracula is the main boss, but Kingpin is the true final encounter.

Best Beginner Progression Path

If you’re just starting Blood Hunt, don’t rush straight into the hardest mode. Build your hero step by step.

  • Clear Normal 4–5 times
  • Move into Hard once you have better gear
  • Clear Extreme until you understand every boss
  • Start pushing Nightmare after Extreme feels comfortable

Extreme is the first major checkpoint because it introduces the full boss route, including Dracula and the hidden Kingpin boss if you complete the objectives.

Final Thoughts

Blood Hunt is one of the best PvE modes in Marvel Rivals, but it requires strategy and time to fully complete. Focus on survival, learn the mechanics, and aim for the hidden boss to get the most out of the event.

Since the event is limited-time, it’s best to start grinding early and secure all rewards before it ends.
