Blood Hunt becomes a very different mode once you start pushing the highest Nightmare floors. Strong gear matters, but choosing the right hero and build can make the difference between getting stuck before Floor 260 and comfortably farming Nightmare 300.

This tier list ranks all six Blood Hunt heroes for the current endgame based on Floor 260โ€“300 progression, solo potential, wave clear, boss damage, survivability, and how much gear they need before becoming strong.

Marvel Rivals Blood Hunt Tier List

The current Blood Hunt endgame goes all the way to Nightmare Floor 300. Because of that, this ranking puts more weight on heroes that can consistently survive and clear high floors instead of heroes that only provide strong boss damage.

Tier Heroes Why They Rank Here
S+ Thor Best overall high-Nightmare hero with exceptional wave clear, survivability, scaling, and solo carry potential.
S Squirrel Girl, Moon Knight Elite ranged options that remain excellent for Floor 260โ€“300 progression, bosses, and solo runs.
A Blade, Jeff the Land Shark Powerful with optimized builds, but more dependent on gear, traits, and specific setups.
B The Punisher Exceptional boss specialist but weaker as an all-round solo carry due to limited wave-clearing strength.

Thor is now our #1 overall Blood Hunt hero. Squirrel Girl and Moon Knight are still excellent, but Thor's current Rune Awakening-based builds are simply better suited to the extreme enemy density and damage found at the highest Nightmare floors.

Punisher's B-tier position also needs context. He is not a weak character. He can be one of the strongest boss killers in Blood Hunt, but this tier list ranks complete runs rather than pure single-target damage.

What Changed in Blood Hunt Nightmare?

Blood Hunt's endgame has expanded significantly since the mode first launched. Nightmare now reaches Floor 300, while Gear Enhancement and Gear Refining allow players to push equipment much further than before.

Gear can now reach +10, making optimized stats and traits much more important. Refining also gives you more control over your equipment instead of forcing you to rely entirely on perfect random drops.

  • Nightmare now reaches Floor 300
  • Gear can be enhanced up to +10
  • Gear Refining makes it easier to optimize important stats
  • Dew of Insight helps accelerate progression on additional heroes
  • Each hero has a valuable reward for reaching Floor 260

Most importantly, clearing Nightmare Floor 260 rewards 100 Units for each hero. Since Blood Hunt has six playable heroes, completing Floor 260 with all of them can earn a total of 600 Units.

This has changed the goal for many players. Instead of investing everything into one character, there is now a strong reason to build every hero far enough to reach Floor 260.

S+ Tier: Thor

Thor Blood Hunt Nightmare 300

Thor is currently the best overall hero for Blood Hunt Nightmare. His combination of survivability, AoE damage, and Rune Awakening scaling makes him extremely difficult to replace once you start pushing Floor 260 and beyond.

The biggest change is that Thor should no longer be viewed as only a tank or team anchor. Properly built Thor can become the main carry, destroying dense vampire waves while remaining much safer than most other heroes.

Best Thor Build for Nightmare 300

The strongest Thor setups revolve around Rune Awakening and Lightning Aura. The goal is to keep Thor empowered as often as possible while stacking effects that improve his lightning damage, attack speed, critical damage, and overall damage output.

  • Build around Rune Awakening
  • Prioritize Lightning Aura and related lightning effects
  • Increase Total Damage Bonus whenever possible
  • Stack useful critical stats after your core build is working
  • Use +10 gear with optimized offensive and defensive rolls
  • Keep enough survivability to stay inside enemy groups safely

Thor's biggest advantage is wave clear. High Nightmare floors throw huge numbers of enemies at you, and Thor can damage entire groups without constantly retreating.

His boss damage can require more optimization than his wave damage, but that weakness is rarely enough to outweigh how dominant he is throughout the rest of a run.

Why Thor Is the Best Blood Hunt Hero

  • Exceptional Nightmare 260โ€“300 wave clear
  • Excellent solo carry potential
  • Very high survivability
  • Strong scaling with upgraded gear
  • Can carry weaker teammates through difficult floors
  • One of the safest heroes for farming Nightmare 300

If you only want to heavily invest in one hero first, Thor is currently the best choice.

S Tier: Squirrel Girl

Squirrel Girl Blood Hunt Nightmare 300

Squirrel Girl is no longer our clear #1, but she remains one of the best all-around heroes in Blood Hunt.

Her ranged playstyle is safe, her wave clear is excellent, and she can deal strong boss damage without putting herself directly inside dangerous enemy groups. She is especially good for players who want a strong high-Nightmare character without relying on Thor's close-range Lightning Aura playstyle.

Why Squirrel Girl Is Still S Tier

  • Excellent ranged wave clear
  • Strong and safe boss damage
  • Good mobility
  • Reliable for solo progression
  • Strong from early progression into Nightmare 300
  • Less punishing than more build-dependent heroes

Squirrel Girl remains one of the safest heroes to recommend for Floor 260. She does not need an extremely unusual build to become useful and performs well during almost every part of a run.

S Tier: Moon Knight

Moon Knight Blood Hunt Nightmare 300

Moon Knight remains an elite Blood Hunt character, particularly when using his ranged and mobility-focused setups.

His Ankhs allow him to spread damage across groups while maintaining distance from dangerous enemies. Against bosses, properly placed Ankhs can also create very strong single-target damage windows.

Best Moon Knight Build

  • Prioritize the ranged Ankh playstyle
  • Increase Ankh count whenever possible
  • Improve blade interactions and bounces through Ankhs
  • Stack ranged and Total Damage Bonus effects
  • Use mobility and glide effects to avoid dangerous mechanics

Moon Knight's Fist of Khonshu path can still work, but the safer ranged setup is generally easier to recommend when the goal is consistent Floor 260โ€“300 progression.

His combination of mobility and ranged damage is especially useful on Nightmare floors where a single positioning mistake can end an otherwise strong run.

A Tier: Blade

Blade Blood Hunt Nightmare 300

Blade is much stronger than he appeared during the early Blood Hunt meta. Both his sword and firearm paths have improved, and optimized Blade builds are capable of clearing even Nightmare 300.

The main reason he remains A tier is consistency. Blade needs the correct traits and gear before his strongest setups come online, while Thor, Squirrel Girl, and Moon Knight are easier to recommend for general progression.

Best Blade Build: Ultimate Spam

One of Blade's strongest high-Nightmare setups focuses on building around his Ultimate. With enough Ultimate-related traits and damage bonuses, Blade can repeatedly enter powerful damage windows and delete bosses much faster than his tier position might suggest.

  • Prioritize traits that improve Ultimate generation and uptime
  • Stack Total Damage Bonus and useful critical stats
  • Use survivability effects that let Blade stay aggressive
  • Take advantage of his improved sword damage when fighting groups
  • Optimize your gear before judging his high-Nightmare potential

Blade's Silver Soulbreaker firearm path is another viable option if you prefer safer ranged damage.

Blade can therefore perform far above A tier in the right build. He ranks lower overall because reaching that level of power takes more setup than it does on the top three heroes.

A Tier: Jeff the Land Shark

Jeff the Land Shark Blood Hunt Nightmare 300

Jeff remains powerful, but high Nightmare has exposed how dependent he can be on good gear and the correct traits.

His damage, sustain, and survivability can all become excellent once his build is complete. The problem is getting there while still producing enough damage to keep up with increasingly dangerous enemies.

Best Jeff Build

  • Build around Overflowing Waters or another proven damage setup
  • Prioritize Forked Stream when it fits your build
  • Stack cooldown reduction where useful
  • Look for strong Total Damage Bonus and boss damage rolls
  • Maintain enough survivability to avoid being punished while attacking

A strong Jeff can deal huge boss damage while remaining difficult to kill. However, he is more gear-dependent than Squirrel Girl or Moon Knight and generally takes longer to reach his full potential.

That makes Jeff an excellent A-tier hero rather than an automatic top-three choice.

B Tier: The Punisher

Punisher Blood Hunt Nightmare 300

Punisher is the most specialized hero in Blood Hunt. His B-tier position does not mean his damage is bad.

In fact, a properly built Punisher can be one of the best boss killers in the entire mode. His problem is that Blood Hunt Nightmare 300 is not simply a sequence of boss fights.

Punisher Is a Boss Damage Specialist

Punisher shines when another hero is already handling enemy waves. This makes him much more valuable in coordinated teams than he is during solo progression.

  • Excellent sustained boss damage
  • Very strong single-target specialist
  • Benefits heavily from optimized rifle builds
  • Works extremely well alongside a wave-clear hero like Thor
  • Less reliable when surrounded by large enemy groups
  • Harder to recommend as your first solo Floor 260 character

For pure boss damage, Punisher can perform at an S-tier level. For a complete Nightmare 260โ€“300 run, however, his weaker all-around flexibility keeps him at B tier.

Best Hero for Reaching Nightmare Floor 260

The best hero for reaching Nightmare Floor 260 is currently Thor.

Floor 260 matters because every hero earns 100 Units after reaching the milestone. To collect every available Unit reward, you eventually need to push all six Blood Hunt characters through Floor 260.

We recommend building your heroes in roughly this order:

  1. Thor for the strongest overall progression.
  2. Squirrel Girl for safe ranged clears.
  3. Moon Knight for ranged damage and mobility.
  4. Blade once you can support his more specialized builds.
  5. Jeff after you have enough gear resources to optimize him.
  6. Punisher once you can build around his specialist strengths.

Dew of Insight and the improved gear systems make leveling your remaining heroes easier after your first character becomes powerful.

Best Hero for Nightmare 300

For actually pushing or farming Nightmare 300, Thor is the strongest overall choice.

His ability to clear huge enemy groups while surviving close-range pressure solves one of the biggest problems at the highest floors. Properly geared Thor can also handle solo runs without needing a team built around him.

Squirrel Girl is our preferred ranged alternative, while Moon Knight is an excellent option for players who value mobility and technical ranged gameplay.

Best Heroes for Solo Nightmare Runs

Solo Blood Hunt requires a different type of hero than coordinated team play. You need enough wave clear to avoid becoming overwhelmed, but you also need strong boss damage and a reliable way to survive mistakes.

  • Best Solo Hero: Thor
  • Best Ranged Solo Hero: Squirrel Girl
  • Best Mobility Pick: Moon Knight
  • Best Advanced Build: Blade
  • Most Gear-Dependent: Jeff the Land Shark
  • Hardest Solo Recommendation: The Punisher

Punisher can still clear high Nightmare with sufficient investment, but players trying to make their first Floor 260 push will generally have an easier time with the other heroes.

Best Heroes for Boss Damage

Boss damage becomes increasingly important on higher floors, but the best boss killer is not always the best hero for an entire run.

  • Best Dedicated Boss Specialist: The Punisher
  • Best Ultimate Boss Build: Blade
  • Best Safe All-Around Boss Damage: Squirrel Girl
  • Best Mobile Boss DPS: Moon Knight
  • Best Overall Run Carry: Thor

Punisher is particularly valuable when your team already has a Thor or another hero handling enemy waves.

If Dracula is stopping your progression, read our Dracula boss guide for the full fight strategy.

Best Team Comp for Blood Hunt Nightmare 300

The safest Nightmare team gives each player a clear job rather than simply stacking heroes with similar strengths.

Role Hero Purpose
Main Carry Thor Wave clear, survivability, and high-floor carry potential
Ranged DPS Squirrel Girl Safe consistent damage against waves and bosses
Secondary DPS Moon Knight or Blade Additional boss damage, mobility, or Ultimate burst
Boss Specialist The Punisher High sustained single-target damage

This gives the team strong wave clear without sacrificing dedicated boss damage.

Highly geared farming groups can become more aggressive. Multiple optimized Thors can clear enemy waves extremely quickly, while a strong Squirrel Girl or another DPS hero handles additional ranged pressure.

Best Heroes for Unlocking Kingpin

Kingpin requires more than raw damage. You need to complete the hidden objectives, survive Dracula, reach the final teleport, and then defeat Kingpin.

The strongest choices are now:
  • Thor: Best overall option for surviving the complete route
  • Squirrel Girl: Excellent safe ranged damage
  • Moon Knight: Strong mobility and boss damage
  • Blade: Powerful once an optimized build comes online

For every requirement and the full hidden boss route, check our Kingpin hidden boss guide.

Which Blood Hunt Hero Should You Upgrade First?

For most players, Thor should now be the first hero you fully invest in. A powerful Thor makes high-floor farming easier and gives you a reliable character for learning the most difficult Nightmare encounters.

If you prefer ranged combat, Squirrel Girl is the safest alternative. Moon Knight is another excellent investment if you enjoy a more mobile and technical playstyle.

Once your first hero is strong, start investing resources into the remaining characters so you can work toward all six Floor 260 rewards.

How Important Is +10 Gear?

Gear becomes increasingly important as you approach Nightmare 260โ€“300. A good hero with weak equipment can still struggle, while optimized +10 gear can completely change how a build performs.

Do not focus only on the enhancement number. The stats and traits on the item still need to support the build you are using.

  • Enhance important equipment toward +10
  • Refine weak rolls instead of accepting bad stats
  • Prioritize the traits your build actually needs
  • Balance damage with enough survivability for high Nightmare
  • Build around a clear playstyle instead of collecting random bonuses

This is especially important for Blade, Jeff, and Punisher, who can feel much weaker when their equipment does not support their intended build.

Final Thoughts

Thor is currently the best overall Blood Hunt hero for Nightmare 260โ€“300. His Rune Awakening and Lightning Aura builds combine elite wave clear with enough survivability to make him one of the safest high-floor carries in the mode.

Squirrel Girl and Moon Knight remain elite ranged choices. Blade has become a serious high-end option with the right Ultimate build, while Jeff can perform very well once properly geared.

Punisher ranks last for overall progression, but that should not be confused with low damage. In a coordinated team, he remains one of the strongest dedicated boss specialists in Blood Hunt.

If your main goal is collecting every Floor 260 reward, start with Thor, build a strong set of +10 gear, and then use your improved progression resources to work through the remaining five heroes.
