Xbox Series X|S players get a special translucent green version celebrating 25 years of Xbox. Players on PS5, Steam, Battle.net, Xbox on PC, and Nintendo Switch 2 see the alternate mil-spec version instead.

How to Get the Inner Circuit M4 Blueprint

Getting the Inner Circuit M4 is simple. You do not need to purchase MW4's most expensive edition or complete an in-game challenge.

• Step 1: Preorder any digital edition of Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 4.
• Step 2: Make sure the preorder is on the platform where you plan to redeem the bonus.
• Step 3: Launch Modern Warfare 4 when it releases on October 23, 2026.
• Step 4: The Inner Circuit M4 Weapon Blueprint will be available to use at launch.

If you already preordered a qualifying digital edition of MW4, you do not need to place another preorder. Activision's announcement applies to any digital edition of the game.

The promotion specifically lists digital preorders. Physical copies are not listed as part of the Inner Circuit offer. Activision's terms also state that the Blueprint must be redeemed by October 23, 2027.

Xbox Green Inner Circuit vs Mil-Spec Version

The Inner Circuit is technically one M4 Blueprint with two platform-specific visual treatments. The weapon build, attachments, and gameplay performance are identical.

Xbox Series X|S OG Green Version

Xbox Series X|S gets the most distinctive version. Its translucent green body is designed as a tribute to the 25th anniversary of Xbox and takes inspiration from classic transparent Xbox hardware.

The green finish exposes parts of the M4's internal systems through the weapon body. This anniversary treatment is only visible on Xbox Series X|S consoles.

Mil-Spec Inner Circuit Version

Players on PS5, Steam, Battle.net, Nintendo Switch 2, and Xbox on PC see the mil-spec visual treatment instead.

This is not a weaker or stripped-down Blueprint. It uses exactly the same five attachments and has the same gameplay characteristics as the Xbox appearance.

Can You Choose Which Inner Circuit M4 Version You Use?

No. The translucent green and mil-spec appearances are not selectable skins. The treatment you see depends on the platform you are playing on.

Activision gave an interesting cross-platform example. If a PC player encounters someone using Inner Circuit on Xbox Series X|S, the PC player will see the mil-spec treatment. The Xbox console player sees the translucent green anniversary version.

In other words, the Xbox design is not a completely separate M4 Blueprint. It is a platform-specific visual treatment for the same weapon.

Inner Circuit M4 Attachments

The Inner Circuit comes equipped with five attachments from the start. The build focuses on mobility, handling, recoil control, and close-to-mid-range fights.


The 11.5" Shortline Barrel and ZLR ASP50 Stock make the rifle lighter and faster, while the FTAC Dominion helps control recoil. The FSS Fireline Grip improves stability, and the SZ Prima-4 Dot gives the Blueprint a clean optic from the start.

The trade-off is long-range performance. Activision describes Inner Circuit as a setup made mainly for players who want to stay mobile and fight at close and medium range.

Is the Inner Circuit M4 Blueprint Good?

On paper, Inner Circuit looks like a useful launch-day M4 build. You immediately get a complete five-attachment setup with a strong focus on mobility while still having recoil control from the FTAC Dominion.

It should be most useful on standard Multiplayer maps where you are constantly moving between close and medium-range fights. Activision also specifically suggests pairing the compact M4 setup with a sniper rifle.

There is another reason the Blueprint is interesting. The M4 finished the MW4 Open Beta as our best overall MW4 Beta gun, thanks to its reliable recoil, mobility, range, and versatility.

That does not guarantee the Inner Circuit build will be part of the launch meta. Infinity Ward can still change weapon tuning before October 23, and Inner Circuit uses a different setup from the M4 loadout we preferred during the Beta.

Does the Inner Circuit Blueprint Include the M4 Hurricane Apex?

No. Inner Circuit comes with five normal Gunsmith attachments, but the M4 Hurricane is a separate Apex Attachment tied to M4 weapon progression.

The M4 Hurricane converts the weapon into a 5.7x28mm configuration and changes how the rifle handles and fires. During the Beta, it was unlocked by reaching the M4's maximum Weapon Level rather than by owning a weapon Blueprint.

Unless Activision changes the progression system before launch, getting Inner Circuit should therefore give you the Blueprint and its five listed attachments, not an automatic M4 Hurricane unlock.

When Can You Use the Inner Circuit M4?

It is a preorder reward rather than a launch challenge, so there is no separate level grind listed for unlocking the Blueprint itself. You only need a qualifying digital MW4 preorder and the required platform entitlement.
