New GTA 6 leaks attributed to CyberLeek have revealed much more than a few seconds of unfinished gameplay. Players are now trying to work out which GTA 6 features are actually visible, which details are still uncertain, and whether the leaker really has access to a complete build.
Below, we break down everything shown so far, including basketball, swimming, vehicles, stores, robberies, the wanted system, map locations, NPC interactions, and the biggest things the leaks still have not revealed.
What Is the GTA 6 CyberLeek Leak?
CyberLeek is the name being used by the person or group responsible for releasing a growing collection of unauthorized GTA 6 gameplay footage and map images in August 2026.
As of August 22, the collection tracked by the GTA 6 community includes seven gameplay videos referred to as
Basketball, Random 1, Taser, Junkies, Plane, Hypercar 1, and Hypercar 2. Three map images have also appeared, including a lower-detail view of the larger map and two more detailed images covering areas south of Vice City and Vice Beach.
Take-Two has responded aggressively. According to
The Verge, Take-Two filed subpoenas on August 20 seeking information from Microsoft and Discord connected to alleged GTA 6 copyright infringement.
That does not automatically prove every claim people are making about the footage. However, the copyright actions and legal response provide strong evidence that at least the underlying GTA 6 material is genuine.
Everything the GTA 6 CyberLeek Leaks Have Revealed
The biggest change since the first CyberLeek videos appeared is the number of gameplay systems we can now see working together.
The footage is no longer limited to basketball and basic driving. Later clips reportedly show swimming, police encounters, vehicle deformation, weapon storage, stores, basic robbery options, planes, NPC interactions, and gameplay across several areas of Leonida.

The important distinction is that these features are
visible in leaked development footage. Rockstar has not officially confirmed that every system will work exactly this way in the final release.
GTA 6 Basketball and Side Activities
Basketball was one of the first major features revealed by the new GTA 6 gameplay leaks.
The footage shows Jason picking up a basketball and shooting at a hoop. The activity has its own interaction system rather than being a simple animation, which strongly suggests basketball is an actual playable side activity.
Earlier footage also appeared to show Jason gaining
+2% Focus after making a basket. If that system remains unchanged, optional activities may be tied directly to character progression or attributes.
That could make GTA 6 side content more important than simply providing distractions between missions. However, the exact purpose of the Focus stat has still not been explained.
We also should not assume that every sports activity or minigame seen in older GTA titles will return just because basketball is available.
Swimming and Underwater Exploration Are in the Leaked Build
Later footage gives us a clearer answer about swimming.
Jason can be seen swimming on the surface during the clip commonly called "Junkies." He briefly goes underwater, while the interface also displays a
Dive prompt.
That makes underwater movement much more than a theory. GTA 6 clearly had swimming and diving functionality implemented in this version of the game.
What remains unknown is how detailed the underwater world actually is.
- We have not seen large underwater areas explored.
- We do not know how deep Jason can dive.
- There is no clear look at underwater collectibles or activities.
- We do not know whether diving requires special equipment.
- Lucia's swimming abilities have not been demonstrated.
Rockstar could have a much larger underwater system waiting to be shown, but the current footage is not enough to confirm it.
GTA 6 Vehicles, Driving, and Personal Vehicle Storage
Vehicles are one of the strongest parts of the CyberLeek footage because several different clips reveal systems that go beyond simply driving from one location to another.
Cars and motorcycles have both appeared, while one of the most significant later clips shows Jason flying a plane over a large part of the GTA 6 world.
Personal vehicles also appear to have a much deeper role. Earlier footage showed interaction options including
Loadout and
Storage, suggesting players may use vehicles to carry weapons or equipment they are not currently holding.
This could be a major change from GTA 5, where characters can carry a huge selection of weapons at almost all times.
GTA 6 Vehicle Damage Looks More Detailed
The later Hypercar footage adds another important detail:
vehicle body deformation and removable components.
Damage appears to affect individual parts of a vehicle rather than applying only generic scratches and dents. That could make crashes and police chases much more visually convincing.
Earlier footage also contained indicators that appeared related to fuel and vehicle condition. However, seeing a fuel value in a development build does not prove that players will constantly need to refuel vehicles in the finished game.
We still do not know whether fuel is a permanent open-world mechanic, a feature used only in certain situations, or something Rockstar experimented with during development.
GTA 6 Police and Six-Star Wanted System
The CyberLeek footage also gives us one of our clearest looks at GTA 6's police system.
The HUD includes space for
six wanted stars, bringing back a maximum wanted level used in older Grand Theft Auto games but reduced to five stars in GTA 5.
Several clips also appear to show more information being tracked during police encounters than in GTA 5. Icons connected to detection or identification appear while Jason is wanted.
This has led to theories that police may track information such as:
- Jason's appearance
- His clothing
- The vehicle being used
- Whether officers currently have visual contact
Those interpretations are plausible, but the exact meaning of every symbol has not been officially explained.
What we can say with much more confidence is that the wanted system in this build is already functional and appears more detailed than a simple star meter.
Stores, Shopping, and Robberies in GTA 6
The Hypercar footage reportedly provides one of our best looks yet at an enterable GTA 6 store.
The player can access a store interior, and the interface contains both
purchase options and a basic robbery option.
That is important because it shows Rockstar is not treating every shop as a simple menu or background building. At least some locations appear to be proper interactive interiors.
However, there is an important limit to what we have seen.
A basic store robbery does
not prove that every shop can be held up, nor does it reveal the larger robbery systems GTA 6 may use.
We have not yet seen complex stick-ups, non-cash loot systems, loot bags, detailed planning, or other mechanics that could appear in larger robberies.
GTA 6 NPC Interaction System
Another notable feature is the NPC interaction menu.
The footage shows Jason receiving contextual options when interacting with people in the world. Other leaked sequences have shown actions connected to bodies, clothing, police, and nearby characters.
This immediately brings Red Dead Redemption 2 to mind because Rockstar used contextual NPC interactions extensively in that game.
Still, it would be too early to say GTA 6 simply copies Red Dead Redemption 2's system. What we can confirm is that Rockstar has built more direct contextual interaction with NPCs into this GTA 6 development build.
That could make random encounters, robberies, police confrontations, and ordinary street interactions feel less scripted than they did in GTA 5.
GTA 6 Map Leak and Locations Shown
The map material may ultimately be the most important part of the CyberLeek release.
Three map images are currently being tracked by the community. One appears to combine a lower-detail view of a much larger portion of the GTA 6 world, while two others provide more detailed views of areas around islands south of Vice City and Vice Beach.
Gameplay has also reportedly appeared in several different parts of Leonida, including:
- Vice City
- Leonida Keys
- Ambrosia
- Hamlet
The plane footage is especially useful because it shows Jason moving through a large area from the air. There are no obvious giant empty gaps in the visible world, which suggests the accessible environment is much broader than the small areas shown in the earliest leaks.
However, having an image that appears to show the whole menu map is not the same thing as proving every location is fully accessible in this particular build.
We also would not treat the leaked map as a final measurement of GTA 6's exact playable size until Rockstar provides a clearer official overview.
GTA 6 Weather, Clouds, and World Detail
The plane clip reveals another detail that is easy to miss from ground-level gameplay: GTA 6 appears to use
dynamic volumetric clouds.
The clouds have visible depth and structure as Jason flies through the world. This should help make the sky and long-distance views feel much more natural than flat cloud layers.
There are also puddles visible in multiple leaked scenes, suggesting rain had occurred before those moments were recorded.
That does
not mean the CyberLeek footage has shown GTA 6's complete weather system. We have not yet seen a proper active rainstorm, hurricane, major flooding event, or other extreme weather state in these clips.
Jason Gameplay, Clothing, and Story Content
Almost all of the CyberLeek gameplay shown so far focuses on Jason.
The footage shows him wearing several different outfits, including a red T-shirt, white long-sleeve shirt, black T-shirt, and white tank top.
There is also at least one story-related sequence involving
Cal Hampton. However, that single mission or cutscene is currently the limit of what the leak has revealed about actual story progression.
This is important because seeing a large open world and many functional mechanics does not prove CyberLeek has unrestricted access to the entire GTA 6 campaign.
What the GTA 6 CyberLeek Leaks Have NOT Revealed
With so many clips spreading online, it is easy for speculation to become mixed with what has actually been shown.
Several major GTA 6 features remain completely unknown from this leak.
- No meaningful Lucia gameplay has been demonstrated.
- No large amount of story progression has been shown beyond the Cal-related material.
- No detailed car customization has appeared.
- No phone gameplay has been demonstrated.
- No hair growth or haircut system has been shown.
- No complex robbery system involving larger loot or advanced stick-ups has appeared.
- No major special inventory system beyond weapons, healing items, and related equipment has been demonstrated.
- No complete underwater exploration has been shown despite diving being available.
This does not mean these features are absent from GTA 6. It only means the current CyberLeek footage cannot be used as proof that they exist.
That distinction matters, especially this close to Rockstar's official extended gameplay presentation.
Does CyberLeek Have the Full GTA 6 Build?
There is currently no solid evidence that CyberLeek has unrestricted access to the complete GTA 6 game.
The footage clearly comes from a highly functional build containing a large world and many gameplay systems. The plane footage is particularly interesting because the player shoots the word "LEEK" into a wall, strongly suggesting whoever recorded the clip had direct control of the game rather than simply possessing previously recorded Rockstar footage.
But direct control of a build is not the same as access to the entire campaign.
There is still no evidence showing CyberLeek freely progressing through GTA 6's story, switching to Lucia, or unlocking content tied to later missions.
We also cannot confirm whether CyberLeek
still has access to the build today. Some or all of the footage could have been recorded earlier and released later.
For now, claims that the entire finished version of GTA 6 has been obtained should be treated as unconfirmed.
How Old Is the Leaked GTA 6 Build?
One of the most useful clues comes from GTA 6's radio.
In the Taser footage, the in-game radio reportedly plays
"Sports Car" by Tate McRae. The song was released in January 2025.
Assuming the music is genuinely coming from the GTA 6 build and was not added to the recording afterward, this means the footage could not have been recorded from a 2023 build as some early reports suggested.
The safest conclusion is that
at least some of the current CyberLeek footage comes from a GTA 6 build captured in January 2025 or later.
That still does not tell us exactly how recent the build is. GTA 6 has continued development throughout 2025 and 2026, meaning Rockstar's current internal version could contain many changes that are not visible here.
Is the GTA 6 CyberLeek Leak Real?
Rockstar has not issued a public statement authenticating every individual CyberLeek video, but there is now strong supporting evidence that the material is genuine GTA 6 content.
The biggest evidence is Take-Two's legal response.
The company filed subpoenas seeking information from
Microsoft and Discord connected to people involved with allegedly infringing GTA 6 material. The leaked videos have also been repeatedly targeted with copyright removals.
Major outlets including The Verge and PC Gamer have independently reviewed the footage and reported on the visible GTA 6 gameplay.
Therefore, it is reasonable to treat the underlying footage as authentic while remaining cautious about interpretations people make from individual frames or unfinished systems.
A real development build can still contain mechanics that are changed, disabled, or completely removed before release.
What Happens Next for GTA 6?
We will not have to rely entirely on leaked development footage for much longer.
Rockstar has officially scheduled
Grand Theft Auto VI: An Extended Look for
August 27, 2026 at 3 PM ET.
That presentation should give us a much better opportunity to compare the CyberLeek footage against GTA 6's current official build and determine which mechanics Rockstar is ready to publicly confirm.
We will update this guide after the presentation with every leaked feature Rockstar confirms, changes, or explains in more detail.
Rockstar currently lists
November 19, 2026 as the GTA 6 release date for PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S.

When is the next official GTA 6 gameplay reveal?
Rockstar's GTA 6 Extended Look is scheduled for August 27, 2026 at 3 PM ET. It should provide a much clearer picture of which systems seen in the leaks are still part of the current game.
Final Thoughts
The CyberLeek footage has become the most detailed unofficial look at GTA 6 gameplay in years. Basketball, swimming, vehicle storage, detailed car damage, stores, basic robberies, planes, NPC interactions, six wanted stars, and several parts of Leonida have now all appeared in the leaked material.
The biggest unanswered questions remain just as important. We still have almost no Lucia gameplay, very little story progression, no detailed vehicle customization, no phone demonstration, and no proof that CyberLeek possesses the complete GTA 6 campaign.
With Rockstar's Extended Look scheduled for August 27, we should soon be able to separate development-build experiments from features that are actually heading into the final version of GTA 6.
