How To Unlock Ranked In Apex Legends (Road To Ranked)

With the launch of Apex Legends Season 24, EA and Respawn Entertainment have introduced significant changes to how players access the competitive ranked.

Gone are the days when simply reaching account level 10 was enough to dive into ranked matches. The developers have implemented a more comprehensive system designed to ensure players are truly battle-ready before entering the high-stakes world of competitive Apex Legends.

Understanding Road To Ranked

The previous system allowed players and even third-party bots to meet the minimum level requirements too easily, which undermined the competitive integrity of ranked matches.

Season 24 addresses this issue head-on with the introduction of the Road to Ranked system – a series of structured challenges that test your skills and game knowledge before granting access to competitive play.

These changes come alongside other Season 24 updates, including weapon buffs, legend balance adjustments, a fresh battle pass, and the highly anticipated mythic skin for the R-301 rifle.

How To Unlock Ranked

The Road to Ranked system is mandatory for two groups of players:

New players who haven't reached account level 20

Returning players whose accounts are below level 20

If you previously had access to ranked mode before these challenges were implemented, you'll retain your access regardless of your account level.

Road To Ranked Challenges

Road to Ranked consists of three distinct sets of challenges that must be completed sequentially. While the specific tasks may vary between players, they all focus on core battle royale gameplay and cannot be completed in Mixtapes or Limited Time Modes (LTMs). Key Requirements:

Reach account level 20 (for new players)

Complete all three challenge sets
