The BO7 Zombies Super Easter Egg has now been fully solved. After completing all six original Main Quests, players must return to the maps, collect five special toys, finish a final Rex Infernus challenge to obtain the Warden toy, and survive a five-stage Boss Rush.
Completing the full challenge unlocks The Warden Operator, eight black-and-purple Memento Mori Dedicated Crew skins, the Golden Mr. Peeks Mayhem reward for Cursed Mode, and a special ending sequence.
What Is the BO7 Zombies Super Easter Egg?
The BO7 Super Easter Egg is the final cross-map Zombies challenge in Black Ops 7. Completing the six original Main Quests is only the prerequisite.
Once eligible, new Super Easter Egg interactions become available across the Round-Based maps. Five maps contain special toy quests, while Rex Infernus contains the final Warden toy challenge and the Boss Rush.
Each completed map quest gives you a collectible toy. You must successfully Exfil with that toy for it to count toward the larger Easter Egg.
The toys then appear on the shelf inside
Her House on Rex Infernus. Completing the Rex portion and placing the final Warden toy activates the final challenge.
How to Unlock the BO7 Super Easter Egg
Before any of the new toy quests become available, you need Main Quest completions on all six Round-Based Zombies maps:
- Ashes of the Damned
- Astra Malorum
- Paradox Junction
- Totenreich
- Kowakujล
- Rex Infernus
Treyarch confirmed this requirement in the
official Season 06 announcement.
After all six Main Quests are complete, return to the maps in Standard Mode and work through their new Super Easter Egg challenges.
Rogue Run, Survival, Dead Ops Arcade 4, Cursed Relics and Pack-a-Punch camo challenges are not required to unlock access to the Super Easter Egg.

The first five map quests require you to obtain a toy and successfully Exfil. The Rex Infernus portion then completes the collection and unlocks the Boss Rush finale.
Does Directed Mode Count for the BO7 Super Easter Egg?
Yes. Treyarch confirmed that Directed Mode Main Quest completions count toward the six prerequisite Main Quests.
You can therefore use Directed Mode to complete any original map Easter Egg you are missing.
The new Super Easter Egg toy quests are different. Run those in
Standard Mode, as the special toy-box interactions used by the hunt do not reliably appear in Directed Mode.
The simple rule is:
- Original Main Quests: Directed Mode counts.
- Super Easter Egg toy quests: use Standard Mode.
- Final Rex challenge: Standard Mode.
How the BO7 Super Easter Egg Works
The complete structure is now understood.
First, beat the six original Main Quests. Then complete the additional Super EE challenge on Ashes, Astra, Paradox, Kowakujล and Totenreich.
Each of those quests gives you a toy that must be successfully extracted from the map. The toys appear on the shelf inside Her House on Rex Infernus.
After collecting all five:
- Load into Rex Infernus.
- Progress far enough to upgrade your grapple.
- Complete the new Rex Super EE minigame.
- Obtain the Warden toy.
- Place the Warden toy with the other toys.
- Start the Boss Rush.
- Clear all five stages.
- Watch the final Super Easter Egg ending.
- Receive the permanent rewards.
Ashes of the Damned Super Easter Egg Steps
Ashes requires the
Necrofluid Gauntlet, Dark Flare and a Fumigator.
Step 1: Get a Fumigator
Pick up a Fumigator before beginning the crystal portion. Known spawns include the early map areas and Vandorn Farm.
Step 2: Find The Twins
Search the Fog and Ashwood for The Twins. Known locations include:
- Near the boat.
- Behind the cabins between Blackwater Lake and Ashwood.
- Near the Ashwood zipline.
Approach them. They disappear and relocate to the barn at
Vandorn Farm.
Step 3: Knock Down the Toy Box
Acquire the Necrofluid Gauntlet.
At Vandorn Farm, locate the smoking toy box on the windmill watched by The Twins. Shoot it with the Wonder Weapon to knock it down.
Step 4: Open the Toy Box With Dark Flare
Directly hit the fallen box with
Dark Flare to open it.
Step 5: Activate the Three Purple Crystals
Go into the Fog between Janus Towers Plaza and Blackwater Lake.
Shoot the three small purple crystals attached to the large rocks, then use the Fumigator on each one.
Step 6: Open the Meteor
After all three crystals are activated, a meteor lands at Blackwater Lake.
Fumigate the meteor. If it does not open immediately, progress the round and return.
Step 7: Return the Crystal
Take the item from the meteor back to Vandorn Farm and place it inside the toy box.
The box opens and gives you the miniature
Ol' Tessie toy.
Step 8: Exfil With Ol' Tessie
Pick up Tessie and successfully Exfil.
The toy can be seen entering the Exfil portal when the completion registers.
Astra Malorum Super Easter Egg Steps
Astra is the longest of the five map toy quests. It uses several existing side Easter Eggs and requires significant Main Quest progression.
Step 1: Set Up the Telescope and DG-2
Activate Pack-a-Punch and power up the telescope by shooting its five panels.
Complete the DG-2 turret side Easter Egg and install the turret on Ol' Tessie.
Step 2: Move the Floating Toy Box
Find the floating toy box outside the Luminarium area.
Use explosives to move the box toward spawn until it reaches the area near Tessie.
Step 3: Pull the Box Down
Throw a
Kazimir underneath the floating box to pull it down.
Step 4: Kill O.S.C.A.R. Near the Box
Bring O.S.C.A.R. into the area around the toy box.
Destroy his drone and kill him using the DG-2 turret. The toy box opens.
Step 5: Reveal the UFO
Complete the slowed-time grandfather-clock side Easter Egg.
Look through the telescope during the effect to reveal the UFO.
Step 6: Reach Mars
Progress the Astra Malorum Main Quest until Mars becomes accessible.
Step 7: Summon the UFO
Find the glowing objects near the Ascendant Eye area and activate them with
Shock Charges.
The UFO appears overhead.
Step 8: Complete the Golden Wisp Puzzle
Complete the lantern side Easter Egg and collect the upgraded wisps.
Step 9: Solve the UFO Order
The UFO flashes a sequence corresponding to suspended objects around Mars.
Possible objects include:
- Flamingo
- Lava lamp
- Space suit
- Toilet
Use the wisps to activate the correct objects. You can also activate all of them if you do not want to decode the sequence.
Step 10: Collect the Caltheris Toy
The final object leaves behind a small alien.
Bring it back to the toy box and collect the
Caltheris toy.
Step 11: Exfil
Successfully Exfil with the Caltheris toy to bank the Astra completion.
Paradox Junction Super Easter Egg Steps
Paradox Junction revolves around chalk drawings and rebuilding Mrs. Peeks.
Step 1: Activate Pack-a-Punch
Open Pack-a-Punch before beginning the new puzzle.
Step 2: Interact With the Chalk Chest
In Cleantown, find the chalk drawing of a chest on the garage door between the houses near spawn.
Interact with it.
Step 3: Use a Psyche Grenade
Go upstairs in the yellow house and find the chalk question mark beside the bookshelf.
Throw a
Psyche Grenade at it and interact.
Step 4: Return to the Garage
Interact with the chalk chest again to begin the Mrs. Peeks part hunt.
Step 5: Find All Six Mrs. Peeks Parts
Collect the six pieces scattered around Nukedtown. Some can be picked up directly, while others need to be shot down.
Step 6: Rebuild Mrs. Peeks
Take all six parts to the top of the bus and rebuild Mrs. Peeks.
Step 7: Complete the Timed Challenge
Collect the spawned power-ups before the timer expires.
Failed attempts can be retried on later rounds.
Step 8: Complete the Toy Box
Take the reward from the challenge and place it into the toy box.
Step 9: Exfil With the Twins Dolls
Collect the Twins dolls and successfully Exfil.
Kowakujล Super Easter Egg Steps
Kowakujล is shorter than Astra or Paradox, but the bird sequence can break if you progress rounds at the wrong time.
Step 1: Turn On Power
Open the map until power and Pack-a-Punch are available.
Step 2: Pull Down the Toy Box
Use the
pink blossom whirlwind inside the castle to pull the toy box down from above Pack-a-Punch.
Step 3: Follow the Bird
Follow the bird between the Castle, Kitchen and Staging Area.
Melee the relevant tree at each stop and wait for the bird to move before continuing.
Step 4: Activate the Central Tree
Bring the final pink blossom whirlwind underneath the large central sakura tree.
Use it between the Mystery Box and the rock used by Onryo during the first boss encounter.
Step 5: Collect the Origami Swan
The bird drops an
origami swan.
Pick it up and deliver it to the toy box.
Step 6: Exfil
Collect the resulting toy and successfully Exfil to bank the Kowakujล completion.
Totenreich Super Easter Egg Steps
Totenreich was the final map toy quest solved by the community. The completed route revolves around a frozen toy box,
King Draugvald the Undying, and the hidden
Silent Heir crossbow.
Step 1: Find the Floating Iceberg
Go behind
Ms. Loven's Antique Shop and look into the water for a small iceberg.
This iceberg contains the Totenreich toy box.
Step 2: Fish the Iceberg Out of the Water
Activate
Wildfire and use the nearest fishing spot.
The fishing rod glows when the correct interaction is active. Reel in the iceberg to bring the frozen box onto land.
Step 3: Melt the Ice
Use fire damage to defrost the iceberg and reveal the toy box.
Wildfire, a Molotov, or another suitable fire source can be used.
Step 4: Find King Draugvald the Undying
Go toward the graveyard outside the playable area near the Wonder Weapon route.
A named elite enemy called
King Draugvald the Undying appears outside the map. Once he notices you, he begins following you.
Step 5: Get the Silent Heir Crossbow
Progress far enough through the lighthouse route to access its elevated parkour area.
The hidden
Silent Heir crossbow is on the lighthouse structure near the broken ledge above the GobbleGum machine. You may need to go prone near the gap to see the pickup prompt.
Step 6: Kill King Draugvald With the Silent Heir
Bring the King into a safe area and damage him.
You can weaken him using another weapon, but use the Silent Heir to finish the kill.
Step 7: Collect the Crown
King Draugvald drops his crown when killed correctly.
Pick it up and return to the frozen toy box.
Step 8: Get the Guardian Toy
Place the crown into the toy box.
The box rewards you with the
Guardian toy.
Step 9: Exfil
Pick up the Guardian and successfully Exfil.
You should now have all five map toys required for the Rex Infernus finale.
How to Get the Warden Toy on Rex Infernus
After extracting all five map toys, load into Rex Infernus.
Your completed toys appear on the shelf inside Her House. You now need to complete one final Rex-specific quest to obtain the Warden figure.
Step 1: Upgrade the Grapple
Progress Rex Infernus far enough to obtain the upgraded grapple, commonly referred to as the
Void Talon.
Our
Rex Infernus Easter Egg guide covers the full setup if you need it.
Step 2: Grapple the Lock Near Nyxara
Go toward the bridge at the entrance to
Nyxara Temple.
A floating lock appears underneath the bridge. Grapple it with the upgraded grapple to begin the Super EE minigame.
Step 3: Complete the Piรฑata Challenges
Special piรฑatas appear around Rex Infernus.
Grappling a piรฑata activates a nearby soul-box challenge. Each has an extra condition rather than simply requiring normal kills. For example, one challenge near Juggernog requires kills while jumping.
Complete the active challenges until the Warden toy becomes available.
Step 4: Collect the Warden Toy
Finish the Rex minigame and collect the
Warden action figure.
Return to Her House and place it with the five toys already on the shelf.
Do You Need to Get the Warden Toy Again?
No. Once you have successfully obtained the Warden toy, it remains registered on the shelf in future Rex Infernus matches.
On later runs, the completed shelf glows purple and you can interact with it directly to start the Boss Rush. Current player testing shows this can be done as early as
Round 1.
You therefore only need to complete the grapple, piรฑata and Warden-toy quest once. After that, you can replay the Boss Rush without repeating the full Rex setup.
Important Co-op Reward Bug
Co-op players should still be careful before starting the Boss Rush.
Current reports show that
every player should personally interact with the shelf and make sure it is active on their own screen. Players who let one teammate handle the interaction for the whole squad have sometimes completed the Boss Rush without receiving the permanent rewards.
There are also isolated reports of the rewards failing even in solo, so this appears to be a broader registration bug in some cases. Until Treyarch confirms a fix, make sure the shelf is glowing and registered before starting the finale.
BO7 Super Easter Egg Boss Rush
Placing the Warden toy completes the toy collection and unlocks the final
Boss Rush.
Boss Rush was heavily rumored before Season 06, but it is now confirmed through live completions. This is the final "playdate with the Twins" challenge referenced by The Warden's unlock requirement.
| Stage |
Encounter |
What to Expect |
| 1 |
Z-Rex |
A returning boss encounter that opens the Boss Rush. |
| 2 |
The Guardian |
A full Guardian boss encounter. |
| 3 |
Demo Derby |
Ol' Tessie appears while you survive and clear a large Zombie assault. |
| 4 |
Caltheris |
A returning Caltheris boss fight. |
| 5 |
The Warden |
The final encounter and last obstacle before the Super Easter Egg rewards. |
The entire Boss Rush must be survived to complete the Super Easter Egg.
After defeating The Warden, a special ending sequence plays and your Super Easter Egg completion should register.
Boss Rush Preparation
Go into the final sequence fully upgraded. The hardest encounters punish weak armor and low boss DPS much more than the individual toy quests.
Before starting, aim to have:
- Full armor and a Self-Revive.
- A high-damage Pack-a-Punched bullet weapon.
- A strong Field Upgrade such as Aether Shroud or Frenzied Guard.
- Your key Perks purchased.
- GobbleGums that can recover a bad run or refill resources.
- A squad that understands the original boss mechanics if playing co-op.
Because the Rush reuses several existing bosses, knowing their original damage phases is more important than experimenting during the finale.
BO7 Super Easter Egg Rewards
Completing the Boss Rush unlocks the permanent Super Easter Egg rewards.
The headline reward is
The Warden as a playable Operator, which Treyarch confirmed before Season 06 launched.
Current live completion reports show the following reward package:
- The Warden Operator
- 8 Memento Mori Operator skins for the Dedicated Zombies Crew
- Golden Mr. Peeks / Mr. Peeks Mayhem for Cursed Mode
- Special Super Easter Egg ending sequence
The black-and-purple crew recolors are officially displayed in-game as
Memento Mori skins. There are eight variants, one for each Dedicated Crew Operator.
Current player testing indicates that the Memento Mori skin awarded is tied to the character you use when completing the Boss Rush. If you want all eight skins, you therefore need to replay the Boss Rush with the corresponding Dedicated Crew Operators.
You do
not need to repeat the five map toy quests or the Warden-toy minigame each time. Once the toy collection is permanently registered, you can return to Rex Infernus and replay only the Boss Rush.
Players who have collected all eight Memento Mori variants have not found an additional secret Calling Card, skin, or other completion reward so far.
Standard Mode does not currently appear to receive a permanent gameplay progression bonus comparable to Mr. Peeks Mayhem. The major Standard rewards are The Warden, Memento Mori cosmetics, and the completion itself.
What Is Mr. Peeks Mayhem?
The Golden Mr. Peeks reward unlocks a powerful Cursed Mode option known as
Mr. Peeks Mayhem.
You activate or disable Mayhem from the
Relic selection menu. Importantly, Mr. Peeks Mayhem does
not count as one of your equipped Relics, so you can still use Grim, Sinister and Wicked Relics alongside it and continue working on their Relic Trials.
Mayhem effectively places the match at
Cursed Tier III, giving access to the high-tier benefits without forcing you to equip enough negative Relics to reach that tier normally.
Current live testing reports the following effects:
- Golden Armor, Ultra Weapon Rarity and Pack-a-Punch IV are available through the Tier III setup.
- Tier III Pack-a-Punch camos remain unlockable while Mayhem is active.
- Pack-a-Punch costs are reduced to 7,500 / 20,000 / 40,000 / 60,000 for PaP IโIV.
- Ammo costs are reduced compared with normal Cursed Mode.
- Pack-a-Punch uses the classic weapon-taking animation.
- Pack-a-Punch applies a random Ammo Mod when upgrading a weapon.
- The Eternal Perk machine replaces Wunderfizz.
- Eternal Perks start at 5,000 Essence, increasing by the normal 500 Essence each purchase.
- Mr. Peeks eggs can drop high-end rewards including PaP IV Crystals and Ultra Tools.
Current community testing gives these Mayhem ammo prices:
| Weapon Level |
Normal Cursed |
Mr. Peeks Mayhem |
| Unpacked |
500 |
250 |
| PaP I |
1,500 |
1,250 |
| PaP II |
3,500 |
3,000 |
| PaP III |
7,500 |
6,000 |
| PaP IV |
10,000 |
8,000 |
There are several current limitations, bugs and compatibility quirks to know about:
- Mr. Peeks Mayhem does not currently work in Cursed Survival. Use normal Cursed Round-Based mode.
- Public Squad Fill currently does not work while Mayhem is active. Invite-only co-op can still be used.
- The Mule Kick Multi-Pack augment does not currently trigger through normal Pack-a-Punch because of the classic PaP animation. Pack-a-Punch Crystals can still trigger Multi-Pack.
- The Eternal Perk machine currently gives random Eternal Perks rather than upgrading your existing normal Perks into Eternal versions.
- The Dancing Arnies Relic currently overrides Mayhem's Eternal Perk machine effect. With Dancing Arnies equipped, the machine gives normal random perks at normal pricing instead of Eternal Perks.
Mr. Peeks Mayhem Not Activating Bug
Some players who have correctly unlocked Mr. Peeks Mayhem are currently unable to activate it.
Reported symptoms include:
- Selecting Mayhem but loading into Cursed Tier 0.
- Previously equipped Relics automatically being re-selected.
- Golden Armor, Ultra rarity, Pack-a-Punch IV and the Eternal Perk machine failing to appear.
At the moment there is
no reliable community workaround. Restarting the game or trying another match has worked inconsistently, while other affected players remain unable to activate Mayhem.
If the Mayhem option is selected in the menu but your game loads without its Tier III benefits, you are likely hitting this bug rather than missing another unlock requirement.
These Mayhem details are based on current live testing and can change if Treyarch adjusts or patches the reward.
For players who regularly use Cursed Mode, Mr. Peeks Mayhem is the most substantial gameplay reward from the Super Easter Egg.
Important BO7 Super Easter Egg Tips
The full hunt is long, so a few rules can prevent hours of lost progress:
- Complete all six Main Quests before starting the toy hunt.
- Directed Mode counts for the original Main Quest requirement.
- Use Standard Mode for the additional toy quests.
- Always pick up the toy before leaving a map.
- Successfully Exfil with each of the five map toys.
- Exit Strategy can speed up the Exfil portion.
- Save & Quit can reset the current map's toy quest, so completing each one in a single run is safer.
- On Kowakujล, avoid changing rounds during the bird sequence.
- Astra Malorum is the longest toy quest, so plan more time for it.
- On Totenreich, you can weaken King Draugvald with another weapon before finishing him with the Silent Heir.
- In co-op, every player should personally interact with the completed Rex toy shelf before entering Boss Rush.
- After earning the Warden toy once, you can replay Boss Rush without repeating the Rex toy quest.
- Use a different Dedicated Crew Operator for each replay if you want to collect all eight Memento Mori skins.
- If Mr. Peeks Mayhem loads you into Tier 0, do not assume you missed a requirement. There is a known activation bug affecting some players.
The co-op shelf interaction remains important until Treyarch confirms that the reward-registration issue has been fixed.
BO7 Zombies Super Easter Egg FAQ
Is the BO7 Zombies Super Easter Egg fully solved?
Yes. All five map toy quests, the Rex Infernus Warden toy challenge and the final Boss Rush have now been completed.
What do you need before starting?
You need Main Quest completions on Ashes of the Damned, Astra Malorum, Paradox Junction, Totenreich, Kowakujล and Rex Infernus.
Does Directed Mode count?
Yes. Treyarch confirmed that Directed Mode Main Quest completions count toward eligibility.
Can the toy quests be completed in Directed Mode?
Use Standard Mode for the new Super Easter Egg toy quests. Directed Mode is useful for satisfying the original Main Quest prerequisite.
How many toys do you need?
You collect five toys from Ashes, Astra, Paradox, Totenreich and Kowakujล. Rex Infernus then has a separate minigame that gives you the sixth Warden toy.
Do you need to Exfil with each toy?
Yes. The five map toys must be successfully extracted so they register on the Rex Infernus shelf.
What is the Totenreich toy?
Totenreich rewards the Guardian toy after you kill King Draugvald the Undying with the Silent Heir crossbow and place his crown into the toy box.
Where is the Silent Heir?
The Silent Heir crossbow is hidden around the lighthouse's elevated parkour route. Progress far enough to access the upper structure and search the broken ledge near the GobbleGum machine.
How do you start the Rex Infernus Super Easter Egg finale?
With all five map toys collected, upgrade your grapple on Rex Infernus and grapple the floating lock beneath the bridge near the Nyxara Temple entrance. Complete the resulting piรฑata challenges to obtain the Warden toy, then place it on the toy shelf.
Do you need to get the Warden toy every time?
No. Once the Warden toy has been obtained, it remains permanently registered on the Rex Infernus shelf. In future games you can interact with the completed shelf and start the Boss Rush without repeating the Warden toy quest.
Can you start Boss Rush on Round 1?
After you have permanently registered the Warden toy, current player testing shows that you can load into Rex Infernus and activate the completed shelf as early as Round 1.
Is Boss Rush really part of the Super Easter Egg?
Yes. The final Super Easter Egg challenge is a Boss Rush.
Which bosses are in the BO7 Boss Rush?
Current live completions report Z-Rex, The Guardian, the Demo Derby survival encounter with Tessie, Caltheris and The Warden.
What does "Survive a playdate with the Twins" mean?
It refers to the final Super Easter Egg sequence that culminates in the Boss Rush.
How do you unlock The Warden Operator?
Collect the toys, complete the Rex finale and survive the Boss Rush.
What are the Memento Mori skins?
Memento Mori is the name of the black-and-purple Super Easter Egg skin set for the eight Dedicated Zombies Crew Operators.
How do you unlock all 8 Memento Mori skins?
Current player testing indicates that the Memento Mori skin awarded depends on the Dedicated Crew Operator used during the Boss Rush. Once the Super Easter Egg is complete, you can replay the Boss Rush with the other Operators without repeating all five toy quests.
Is there a reward for collecting all 8 Memento Mori skins?
No additional all-eight reward has been discovered so far. Players who have collected the complete set report receiving the eight skins themselves without an extra Calling Card or cosmetic.
What is Mr. Peeks Mayhem?
Mr. Peeks Mayhem is the Golden Mr. Peeks Cursed Mode reward. It activates Tier III Cursed benefits and several extra Mayhem bonuses without counting as one of your equipped Relics.
Does Mr. Peeks Mayhem count as a Relic?
No. Current testing shows that Mayhem does not occupy a Relic slot, so Grim, Sinister and Wicked Relics can still be used alongside it.
Does Mr. Peeks Mayhem work in Cursed Survival?
Not currently. Mr. Peeks Mayhem works in Cursed Round-Based mode, but current player testing reports that it does not activate in Cursed Survival.
Can you use Squad Fill with Mr. Peeks Mayhem?
Public Squad Fill currently does not work while Mayhem is active. Invite-only co-op remains an option.
Does Dancing Arnies work with Mr. Peeks Mayhem?
The Relic can be equipped, but current testing shows that Dancing Arnies overrides Mayhem's Eternal Perk machine behavior. The machine gives normal random perks instead of Eternal Perks while Dancing Arnies is active.
Why is Mr. Peeks Mayhem putting me in Cursed Tier 0?
This is a current activation bug reported by several players. Mayhem can appear selected in the menu but fail to activate in-game, sometimes re-equipping old Relics instead. There is no reliable fix yet.
How much does Pack-a-Punch cost with Mr. Peeks Mayhem?
Current live testing reports costs of
7,500 Essence for PaP I, 20,000 for PaP II, 40,000 for PaP III and 60,000 for PaP IV.
Why did I finish the Boss Rush but not get my rewards?
A reward-registration issue has been reported in both co-op and some solo completions. In squads, make sure every player personally interacts with the completed toy shelf before entering Boss Rush. If the rewards still fail to register, you may need to wait for a Treyarch fix or complete the Boss Rush again.
Can you complete the Super Easter Egg solo?
Yes. The solved map quests and the final challenge can be attempted solo, although Boss Rush is considerably easier with a prepared squad.
