All New Battlefield 6 Season 5 Maps
Season 5 adds
three new maps in total. Vegas Strip and Area 51 are available from launch, while European Casino follows in November. The opening two maps are very different, covering urban combat, air warfare and underground infantry fights.
Vegas Strip: Casinos, Rooftops & Urban Warfare

Vegas Strip turns Las Vegas into a full-scale warzone. The map combines open roads for vehicles with casinos, hotels, shops, fountains, rooftops and underground storm drains for infantry. Helicopters can fight above the streets while squads battle over indoor objectives.
You have several ways to approach a fight here. Rooftop ziplines create alternate routes, buildings give you cover from armored vehicles, and the storm drains let you move below the main streets. Players who switch between these routes should have an easier time avoiding predictable choke points.
Area 51: Jets, Tanks & Underground Combat

Area 51 is built around a huge desert military installation. Tanks, helicopters and jets control the surface, but a massive crater leads to a hidden facility where infantry can fight inside narrow corridors and underground rooms.
The map also has dirt bikes for quick movement and a destructible Air Traffic Control tower. Expect long sightlines above ground and close-range battles below. The new ELR-40 sniper rifle looks particularly useful for the map's open areas.
European Casino: Coming November 10
The third Season 5 map is European Casino. Unlike Area 51, this battleground focuses on close-range infantry combat inside casino gaming floors and connected rooms. Destruction can open new routes through the building, giving squads different ways to attack and defend.
All New Battlefield 6 Season 5 Weapons
There are
six new primary weapons planned across Season 5, with four available at launch. They cover Assault Rifle, SMG, LMG, Sniper Rifle, Carbine and DMR categories, so almost every kind of player gets something new to try.

Which weapon should you level first? Pick the Mk 24 if you prefer controlled rifle fights, the RSPR for aggressive pushes, the Z84M for sustained fire, or the ELR-40 if you usually play Recon. Their real value will depend on the attachments you unlock and how they fit your favorite maps.
For a quick reminder of how Hardware XP and attachments work, see our
Battlefield 6 weapon leveling guide. Our leveling service is also being expanded with the existing
PP-19 SMG and
RPKM LMG. These two should not be confused with the new Season 5 releases.

Battlefield 6 Season 5 Challenges & Assignments
New weapons are only part of the grind. Season 5 also adds new challenge groups for players who want to earn rewards, advance through the Battle Pass and complete seasonal objectives. The available tasks depend on the challenge category and any access requirements shown in-game.
Our Battlefield 6 Challenges & Assignments service is being updated to cover these new groups:
| Challenge group |
Available challenge options |
Category |
| Season 5 Hardware |
Hardware Challenge 1 and 2 |

| BF Pro Season 5 |
Challenges 1, 2, 3 and 4 |

Season 5 Hardware covers the new Hardware Challenge 1 and 2 options. The
BF Pro Season 5 group has four challenge options for players with the relevant Pro access, while
Rapid Royale has three options tied to the new REDSEC experience.
To see the objectives for each challenge, open the in-game Challenges menu and select its group. Check the tasks before starting a match so you can work on the right challenge while you play.

Season 5 Battle Pass, Battlefield Pro & Rewards
The Season 5 Battle Pass includes
more than 100 reward tiers, six instant unlocks and four themed paths. You can work toward new hardware and cosmetic items as you play. If you want certain rewards first, you can focus on the path that contains them instead of treating the pass as one long list.
Battlefield Pro adds extra benefits for players who want the full seasonal package. Here is what EA has announced:
What's Included with Battlefield Pro?
- Full Season 5 Battle Pass access and 25 tier skips.
- Six BF Pro instant unlocks and an exclusive limited-time bonus reward path.
- 15% XP boost and additional BF Pro challenges and rewards.
- Persistent Portal hosting with support for 100-player servers.
- Vehicle radio music and other Battlefield Pro extras.
Battle Pass progress is linked to playtime and XP, and challenges can help you move through the rewards more efficiently. If you are mainly interested in the free functional equipment, check the reward track before deciding whether to buy the premium pass.
REDSEC Rapid Royale & Ranked Battle Royale
Battlefield REDSEC gets one of the biggest mode changes of the season with
Rapid Royale. It is a faster version of Battle Royale that cuts down downtime between fights, with smaller lobbies, high-value loot and a Ring of Fire that closes more quickly.
How Rapid Royale Works
Rapid Royale launches with
Solos and Trios. Eliminations can earn redeploys, so attacking and surviving fights can help bring teammates back. Matches take place on multiple locations, including Vegas Strip and Mirak Valley, instead of limiting players to one traditional Battle Royale map.
The mode rewards teams that keep moving and fighting. You will find powerful loot drops, fewer players competing in each match, and less time to recover before the ring forces another engagement. It is worth trying if standard Battle Royale feels too slow.
Ranked Battle Royale, Open Series & Leaderboards
Ranked Battle Royale also officially launches beyond Battlefield Labs. Season 5 brings redesigned Ranked badges, new rewards and a fresh chance to climb. Competitive REDSEC players can also take part in the Open Series, while the Elite Series is scheduled for later in the season.
Multiplayer players are getting Leaderboards to track performance over time. Meanwhile, Gauntlet leaves the regular REDSEC playlist on October 13 as EA shifts attention toward Rapid Royale and healthier matchmaking queues. Standard Battle Royale playlist rotations are also changing, with Duos planned to return later in Season 5.
Battlefield 6 x Dead Space: Convergence Event
The biggest seasonal crossover is
Dead Space: Convergence, running from
October 20 to November 7, 2026. An alien Marker discovered inside Area 51 spreads a dangerous influence across the facility, turning a military operation into a horror-themed fight for survival.
Marker Incursion: New 16-Player PvE Mode
The crossover adds
Marker Incursion, a limited-time PvE experience for 16 players. Teams fight through AI-controlled Marked Soldiers, use the Pulse Rifle Battle Pickup and work to destroy the Marker before Convergence takes over. It is a major change from the usual PvP matches.
Dead Space Event Rewards
- Aegis VII Soldier skin.
- RIG-Certified SMG Weapon Package.
- Two themed Weapon Stickers.
- Soldier Patches and a Player Card Background.
- Two additional in-game bundles tied to the crossover.
The event is time-limited, so anyone interested in the Dead Space rewards should check the event screen once it opens on October 20. Keep in mind that some cosmetics may be obtained through bundles rather than gameplay rewards.
New Vehicles, Gadgets & Gameplay Changes
Update 2.1.1.0 does more than add maps and weapons. It adjusts vehicle combat, aim behavior, REDSEC equipment, Portal tools and several parts of the interface. These are the changes most likely to affect everyday matches.
Vehicle Combat and Anti-Air Changes
- Mobile Anti-Air is stronger: its turret rotates 50% faster, with projectile and ammunition changes to improve effectiveness against aircraft.
- Scout Helicopter rockets are toned down: 70mm FFAR splash damage is reduced by 30%, and rocket pod resupply time rises from 28 to 38 seconds.
- Tanks and IFVs regenerate more slowly: weapon fire resets the passive regeneration delay, and recovery from critical health takes longer.
- Vehicle weak spots matter more: tank rear-hit damage and hit angles have been adjusted to reward good positioning.
Gunplay, REDSEC & Portal Updates
Gamepad recoil compensation has been reduced from 11% to 5%, alongside changes to weapon handling and other combat details. In REDSEC, armor plating is 20% faster, class equipment and Field Training have been revised, and additional gadgets can appear in Battle Royale loot sources.
Portal creators get more supported maps, water controls, new tools and improved hosting options. Spectator Mode, HUD clarity, animations and overall stability have also received fixes. For exact numerical weapon and vehicle adjustments, check the
official Update 2.1.1.0 patch notes.
What's Coming in Casino Heist & Frozen Aces?
Season 5 still has two major content drops ahead. The dates below are part of EA's published roadmap, but their final mechanics and event requirements may change as each update gets closer.
Casino Heist Update: November 10

Casino Heist brings the new
European Casino map and a limited-time event focused on the casino setting. The next weapon is the
NSW4 Carbine, along with the
M142 MRAS vehicle and
ADS-17 6GHZ gadget. The REDSEC Elite Series is also planned for this part of the season.
This looks like the update for players who prefer infantry fighting, tight hallways and destructible cover rather than the open air and armored combat of Area 51. Full event rules and weapon unlock details are expected closer to release.
Frozen Aces Update: December 8
Frozen Aces closes the announced Season 5 roadmap with
Operation High Roller, a winter-themed Freezeout event, and updates to
Blackwell Fields and
New Sobek City. It also adds the
MK 1 Mod 0 DMR, Karambit Knife and the
B-81 Cavalry aircraft.
Two long-requested community features are also planned for this phase:
Platoons, for more organized groups, and the
Server Browser, for finding servers more directly. These are not available as part of the October 13 launch, so there is no need to look for them in the current menus.
