Battlefield 6 Phantom Program Requirements
Before attempting the later stages, make sure you are playing the correct mode. The Phantom Program is tied to regular REDSEC Battle Royale.Current completed runs show that Casual BR and Portal-hosted Battle Royale do not progress the main Phantom sequence. EA has confirmed that Phantom Program works in Solos, Duos, and Quads whenever those playlists are available.

How to Complete the Battlefield 6 Phantom Program
The Phantom Program is made up of several connected challenges. The early objectives stay completed once finished, while the later encryption runs need to be completed during successful Battle Royale matches.Here is the full Phantom Program challenge order.
1. Open 30 Dark Ops Crates
One of the first requirements asks you to open 30 Dark Ops Crates.These special crates are tied to the Phantom Program. The crashed aircraft carrier becomes important throughout the later stages too, so learning the area now will help once you reach the encryption runs.
Do not worry about completing the full Easter Egg while doing this step. Finish the crate requirement first so your later matches can focus on the harder objectives.
2. Find the Blacklight Pistol
The next important item is the Blacklight Pistol.Go to the crashed aircraft carrier and search the relevant crates until you find the yellow pistol with the Blacklight function. You need it to reveal Phantom markings that cannot normally be seen.
The carrier can be busy because other players are also working on the event. Loot quickly and avoid staying exposed longer than necessary.
3. Find the Hidden Phantom Message
Once you have the Blacklight Pistol, start checking the walls and nearby surfaces around the carrier.You are looking for a hidden Phantom symbol or message. The location can change between matches, so finding it once does not mean it will appear in the same spot during your next run.
When you find the message, move close and hold the interaction button.
4. Complete 10 Battle Royale Matches
Another early requirement asks you to complete 10 REDSEC Battle Royale matches.You do not need 10 wins for this challenge. You only need to finish the matches.
If you played a lot of REDSEC before Phantom Program launched, check the challenge menu first. This step may already be completed on your account.
5. Decrypt the Phantom Message
Interacting with the hidden Blacklight message reveals the next objective.The game gives you a new location somewhere else on Fort Lyndon. At this point, stop searching the carrier and check your objective marker.
The destination can change from run to run, which is why every encryption attempt can play out differently.
6. Retrieve the Encryption Device
Travel to the location revealed by the Phantom message and find the encryption fragment or device.Depending on the run, the objective can be connected to a locker, crate, terminal, server rack, or another marked object. Interact with the objective to retrieve the device.
Check the Ring before committing to the objective. A poor fragment location combined with a closing Ring can ruin the run before the difficult part even begins.
7. Extract With the Encryption Device
Finding the device does not finish the run.Once it has been picked up, you still need to keep the fragment safe until the end of the match.
Your squad then needs to win the Battle Royale for the run to count.
Once you have the device, stop treating the match like a normal kill hunt. Strong positioning, safe rotations, armor, and survival are now much more important than chasing another squad.
One successful extraction gives you progress, but you still need to repeat the process.
How the Phantom Program 3-Win Streak Works
This is the hardest part of the entire Phantom Program.You need to complete the Phantom encryption sequence across three consecutive Battle Royale wins. Simply winning three REDSEC games is not enough. You also need to complete the Phantom objective during those successful runs.
Each run looks roughly like this:
- Enter regular REDSEC Battle Royale.
- Reach the crashed aircraft carrier.
- Find the Blacklight Pistol.
- Locate the hidden Phantom message.
- Interact with the message.
- Travel to the revealed fragment location.
- Retrieve the encryption device.
- Keep the fragment holder alive.
- Win the Battle Royale match.
Then you need to repeat the process until you have done it successfully three times in a row.
If you lose during this part, the consecutive streak is broken. You do not need to redo permanent early objectives such as the 30 crates or 10 completed matches, but you do need to rebuild the win streak.
That is what makes Phantom Program difficult. You can complete every puzzle step correctly and still lose the streak during the final circles.
How to Enter the Phantom Bunker
After completing the three successful encryption runs, enter another regular REDSEC Battle Royale match.Your new Phantom objective will send you toward the underground bunker near the airport. Follow the objective underground until you reach the Phantom entrance.
Interact with the security system in the circular room to open the way deeper into the bunker.
Do not start the final objective immediately. Reload, repair armor, share ammunition, and make sure the squad is ready before activating the terminal.
Defend the Phantom Terminal
Once you activate the security override, you need to defend the Phantom terminal for around 8 minutes.Other players can attack the bunker while the objective is active. Your squad should focus on controlling the entrances and surviving until the override finishes.
Do not leave the bunker to chase kills unless you have a clear reason to do so. The goal is to stay alive and protect the objective.
If you complete the defense, the Phantom Program takes over the end of the match and triggers the special squad ending and completion sequence.

The fragment can appear in a poor location.Check the Ring as soon as the objective is revealed and plan the route before moving. If the trip is long, secure a vehicle first.
Stop Chasing Kills After You Get the Device
Kills do not matter once you have the fragment.Move into a strong position, protect the holder, and make other teams take the risky fights. The only result that matters for Phantom progression is the win.
Prepare Before Starting the Bunker Terminal
The final defense lasts around eight minutes, so go in prepared.Bring full armor, enough ammunition, healing supplies, and weapons that work well in close spaces. Starting the terminal while your squad is already low on resources makes the final stage much harder.
