NetEase Games' FragPunk, the newly released 5v5 hero shooter, has quickly captured attention in gaming communities worldwide. The tactical shooter, which blends hero abilities with competitive team-based gameplay, has players eager to team up with friends regardless of platform.

One question consistently emerges across forums and social media: does FragPunk allow crossplay? For those looking to squad up with friends on different systems, this compatibility question is crucial. Here's what you need to know about FragPunk's cross-platform system.

Is FragPunk Crossplay?

Yes, FragPunk supports crossplay for all platforms including PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X/S to join the same matches.

How Crossplay Works In Fragpunk

Just like in many other games, FragPunk crossplay allows you to match up and match against players from all platforms. Console players can turn off matching with PC players so they can opt-in to play only against other console players.

When it comes to ranked leaderboard, all platforms share one leaderboard which is how it works in NetEase's other game, Marvel Rivals.

How to Link Your Console Account to Your Existing Steam FragPunk Account

When connecting your PlayStation Network or Xbox account to a Steam account that already contains FragPunk gameplay data, the system will recognize your console account as new and bind it directly to your established Steam profile.

After completing the linking process, your existing Steam progress will automatically synchronize to your console when you launch FragPunk on your PlayStation or Xbox. This method is ideal for players who wish to maintain their advancement when transitioning to console play.

Account Linking Procedure:
  • Select the Link option located beneath the Steam platform icon.

  • Use your mobile device to scan the displayed QR code and authenticate your Steam account credentials.

  • For first-time cross-platform setup, the system will prompt you to connect a NetEase Games account as a security measure against unauthorized access or fraudulent linking. Choose Link to proceed.

  • On the binding interface, you may either connect an existing NetEase Games account or establish a new one (this security step is only required once).

  • Upon successful account binding or creation, a Link Successful notification will be displayed.

  • Navigate back to the main linking interface to verify that your accounts have been properly connected.

  • To link additional platform accounts that have no existing game data, simply select the appropriate Link button for each platform.

  • Scenario 2: Linking Accounts After Initial Login (Console Bonus Eligible)

If you choose to bypass the account linking prompt during your first FragPunk session and proceed to character creation, the system will automatically generate a new account associated with your console identifier.

You can still connect to other platform accounts at a later time by following this process:

  • Navigate to Settings → Privacy within the game menu, then select Link Other Platforms to access the cross-platform connection interface.

  • Authenticate yourself on the desired platform and connect a NetEase Games account for additional security protection.

  • Wrapping It Up

FragPunk's crossplay and cross-progression system are pretty good, separating consoles from PC as in many other games while allowing everything to transfer in between.
