BO7 Camo Costume Party is one of Season 06's biggest cosmetic grinds, with 36 weapon class challenges spread across Endgame, Multiplayer, Zombies and Warzone. If you want the Arcblade or the animated event camos, the main problem is knowing which challenges matter and which route saves the most time.

What Is the BO7 Camo Costume Party Event?
Camo Costume Party is a limited-time Black Ops 7 Season 06 event built entirely around weapon camo challenges. Instead of progressing through a normal XP reward track, you complete challenges for specific weapon classes across Co-Op and Endgame, Multiplayer, Zombies and Warzone.There are 36 visible challenges in total, with nine challenges in each mode. Completing them gives you weapon-class versions of the event camos, while finishing a complete nine-challenge mode track unlocks an animated mastery camo.
The event also includes the new Arcblade melee weapon, which has a much easier requirement than completing the entire camo event. Activision lists Camo Costume Party as one of the main Season 06 events in the official Season 06 announcement.

How the Camo Costume Party Event Works
Open the Events menu and Camo Costume Party is split into four mode tabs. Each tab contains one challenge for each of the nine weapon classes: Assault Rifles, SMGs, Shotguns, LMGs, Marksman Rifles, Sniper Rifles, Pistols, Launchers and Specials, and Melee.Completing one challenge gives you 2,500 XP and unlocks that mode's event camo for the relevant weapon class. For example, completing the Multiplayer Assault Rifle challenge unlocks Gray Matter for Assault Rifles.
The bigger rewards work differently:
- Complete all 9 challenges in one mode: Unlock that mode's animated mastery camo and receive 10,000 XP.
- Complete any 9 Event Camo Challenges: Unlock the Arcblade melee weapon.
- Complete all 36 challenges: Earn the four mode mastery camos and 130,000 XP from challenge and mastery rewards combined.
The Arcblade requirement is important because your nine challenges do not need to come from the same mode. If you only want the weapon, you can choose easier objectives from several tabs instead of finishing an entire mastery track.
All BO7 Camo Costume Party Camos and Rewards
Activision officially lists nine camos for Camo Costume Party. Five are standard event camos and four are animated mastery camos.The standard mode camos unlock separately by weapon class. The four mastery rewards are true universal camos that can be equipped across your arsenal after completing the full nine-challenge track for their mode.

Oozed is the unusual reward at launch. Activision lists it as one of the nine official Camo Costume Party camos, but it is not currently attached to one of the four visible mode challenge tracks. We will update this guide once its exact unlock requirement appears.
Co-Op and Endgame Camo Costume Party Challenges
The Co-Op and Endgame track unlocks Undergrowth for each completed weapon class. Completing all nine challenges unlocks the animated Gravebloom mastery camo and another 10,000 XP.Several challenges rely directly on Endgame systems such as Guild Tech enemies, Combat Rating, Fear enemies and wingsuiting.

The SMG and LMG objectives are the longest raw grinds in this track. If Gravebloom is your goal, plan around those two early instead of leaving hundreds of eliminations until the end.
Multiplayer Camo Costume Party Challenges
Multiplayer challenges unlock Gray Matter for each weapon class. Completing all nine gives you the animated Grubs mastery camo.Most of these challenges fit normal Multiplayer play, although the Assault Rifle objective specifically requires T.E.D.D. Trials and the Launcher/Special challenge requires Hordepoint.

Hordepoint is useful for the final two objectives because you can work on Launcher or Special eliminations while also looking for melee kills around the active objective.
Zombies Camo Costume Party Challenges
The Zombies track unlocks Zombie Mai Tai, a returning Black Ops II camo, across each completed weapon class. Finishing the full track rewards the animated Malignant mastery camo.This is the most elimination-heavy track. Several requirements ask for hundreds of kills while also adding weapon, perk, rarity or playlist conditions.

The Marksman Rifle challenge can be especially awkward because the weapon must come from the Mystery Box. The Shotgun challenge looks smaller because its tracker only needs one successful attempt, but that attempt still requires 75 qualifying kills during a single T.E.D.D. Trial.
Warzone Camo Costume Party Challenges
Warzone unlocks Patchwork for its nine weapon classes. Finishing the complete Warzone track gives you the animated Death Row mastery camo.The raw tracker counts here are much lower than the other modes, which makes Warzone an attractive route for players who are already comfortable getting eliminations in Battle Royale or Resurgence.

Some requirements are very small on paper, including one Pistol bounty elimination, five Sniper headshots and three Melee weapon-switch kills. The Top 10 Shotgun challenge can take longer because it depends on surviving deep into matches.
All Four Animated Camo Costume Party Mastery Camos
Each mode has one animated mastery camo. Unlike the class-specific standard rewards, these mastery camos can be equipped on any weapon once unlocked.You cannot mix challenges between modes for a mastery reward. To unlock Grubs, for example, you must finish all nine Multiplayer challenges specifically.

How to Unlock the Arcblade in BO7
The Arcblade is the main functional reward from Camo Costume Party. You unlock it by completing any 9 Event Camo Challenges.This means you do not need all nine challenges from one mode. You can complete a few easier Multiplayer challenges, switch to Warzone, finish another objective in Zombies and continue until your total reaches nine.
The Arcblade is a near-future bladed tonfa with high damage, fast attack speed and moderate range. It has 30 weapon levels, supports Mastery Badges and blueprints, and does not use attachments.
If the Arcblade is the only event reward you care about, completing the whole 36-challenge event is unnecessary.
Fastest Way to Complete Camo Costume Party

These numbers are not estimated completion times. Some tracker values represent streaks or full objectives instead of individual eliminations. For example, the Zombies Shotgun tracker counts one completed T.E.D.D. Trial even though that trial requires 75 kills.
For the Arcblade, the most efficient strategy is to cherry-pick nine challenges that fit the modes and weapon classes you already play well.
If you want to complete one full mode, Warzone has the smallest raw tracker total. Multiplayer is also reasonable because several challenges require only a handful of streaks or objective kills.
Zombies becomes the major time investment. Three challenges require 500 eliminations each, while Pistols require 300 kills and Melee requires another 250.

Camo Costume Party launched with Black Ops 7 Season 06 on September 17, 2026.The current in-game countdown points to October 8, 2026 as the event end date. Always check the timer shown directly inside the Events menu before leaving challenges until the final day, since Activision can adjust live-event timing.
If you want Malignant or full event completion, starting early makes sense because the Zombies and Endgame tracks contain several long elimination objectives.
